Counselor Educators

Information for Counselor Educators

Hello! Welcome to the new Counselor Educator section of our Web site.

We’ve developed this section specifically for counselor educators as a way to deliver information, updates, special offers and “news you can use.”

And speaking of “news you can use,” have you heard that NBCC is offering counselor educators the opportunity to become National Certified Counselors (NCCs) by participating in a review administration of the National Counselor Examination (NCE)? It’s true!

We’re also happy to announce the NBCC Professional Identity Recognition for Counselor Education Programs. This new national award will be given annually to two counselor education programs for exemplary work in preparing qualified counselors, commitment to professional identity and 100-percent faculty participation as National Certified Counselors.

Finally, we proudly introduce The Professional Counselor: Research and Practice (TPC), an innovative, open source journal dedicated to promoting the practice of professional counseling worldwide by publishing original peer-reviewed manuscripts, covering a wide range of empirical, theoretical and innovative counseling topics.

If you have ideas or suggestions for additional resources we can include in this special section to support you in creating the next generation of counselors and counselor educators, please e-mail them to professionalpractice@nbcc.org. We look forward to hearing from you!
